Pediatrician Camp at SLU
Be Your Baby’s First Doctor! Students will roleplay the key responsibilities of a pediatrician and learn how to care for a baby. Participants adopt their own adorable plush and learn how to change, bathe, burp, swaddle, and bottle feed a baby. These future doctors will explore the different parts of the brain and spine, perform a physical exam, administer first aid, and discover the functions of the heart and lungs.

The Little Medical School brings medicine, science, and the importanceof health to children in a fun and entertaining way. Through interactive demonstrations, crafts, andgames, kids learn how the body and organs work, how to use doctors’ instruments, and even how toadminister first aid.Little Doctor School Section I: Basic anatomy, medical instruments, and prepping for surgery. Through role-play and activities, students will learn the key responsibilities of a doctor and explore the heart, lungs, and digestion. Students will use real medical instruments (stethoscope, reflex hammer, and blood pressure cuff) and practice scrubbing, suturing, and tying knots like a real surgeon
