Babysitting 101 with Saint Catherine of Siena School

Babysitting 101 is a class designed for students who are
interested in babysitting. Students will have an introduction to basic care, safety, and first
aid for infants and children. Students will also learn about the developmental stages of
infants through school-age children and design activities to use with each age. Health,
nutrition, and sleep for each developmental age will be taught. Students will have
hands-on experience learning the Heimlich maneuver and how to use an EpiPen. Finally,
students will design a babysitting advertisement for their business and receive a
certificate of completion. The program can also be used to earn the Girl Scouts
babysitting badge.
