Wilderness Medicine Summer Camp with Green Mountain Recreation Center
Wilderness Medicine Summer CampConquer the great outdoors! Camp participants will role-play emergency situations inthe wild, and learn how to prepare for natural disasters and animal encounters. Thesefuture emergency medics will learn about snake bites, hypothermia, tourniquets, wildanimal safety, how to read a compass, poisonous plants, edible plants, distress signals,forest fires, tornadoes, common bug bites, and more.

SLU - Little Vet Cat School
Students will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and perform a whiskers-to-tail exam on their newly “adopted” plush cat. These future veterinarians will learn about animal body language, maintaining a healthy environment such as proper litterbox placement, create a cat toy, design a vet clinic, and much more!

Students will use real medical instruments (stethoscope, reflex hammer, and blood pressure cuff) and practice scrubbing, suturing, tying knots like a real surgeon, and much more!
