STEM Sleuths with St. Columba Catholic School
STEM SLEUTHS is a course that exposes students to the forensic science used tosolve a crime. Students will conduct experiments on fingerprinting, collecting shoe prints,chromatography, composite drawing, facial reconstruction, toxicology, and handwriting analysis.The class culminates in the forensic student team working together to solve a crime.

KIPP STRIVE Primary School
After “adopting” their own plush baby, students will role-play the key responsibilities of a pediatrician and learn how to perform a head-to-toe exam on a newborn. These future pediatricians will learn about diapering, diaper rash, bottling, burping, the infant Heimlich maneuver, childhood immunizations, and safe sleeping.

KIPP STRIVE Primary School
After “adopting” their very own plush puppy, students will role play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian, including how to properly perform a nose-to-tail exam. These future veterinarians will learn how to sew stitches, remove ticks, make healthy treats, and vaccinate their dog.

This course is an advanced Little Doctor School for middle school students. Participants will learn about the human heart, skin, blood, digestion, disease, surgery techniques, how to read an EKG, and much more!

Murdock - Little Doctor School, Part 2
Murdock Elementary
These future doctors will learn about prescriptions, explore the brain and spine, and learn about vital bodily functions through hands-on activities and role-play. Students will build a first aid kit and create models of the brain and spine.

Murdock - Little Vet Dog School, Part 2
Murdock Elementary
Students will role-play the key staff functions performed at a veterinary office and how to keep their “adopted” plush puppy healthy. These future veterinarians will explore digestion, the different parts of the canine eye, animal body language and how X-rays are used to diagnose and treat common illnesses.
