STEM Sleuths with St. Columba Catholic School
STEM SLEUTHS is a course that exposes students to the forensic science used tosolve a crime. Students will conduct experiments on fingerprinting, collecting shoe prints,chromatography, composite drawing, facial reconstruction, toxicology, and handwriting analysis.The class culminates in the forensic student team working together to solve a crime.

Little Doctor School with Compass Montessori School

The Little Medical School brings medicine, science, and the importance of health to children in a fun and entertaining way. Through interactive demonstrations, crafts, and games, kids learn how the body and organs work, how to use doctors’ instruments, and even how to administer first aid. At Little Medical School, students will assume the role of a doctor and learn how the body and organs work, how to use medical instruments, and even tie knots like a real surgeon. Students will use real medical instruments (stethoscope, reflex hammer, and blood pressure cuff) and practice scrubbing and suturing. Section I: Basic anatomy, medical instruments, and prepping for surgery. Through role-play and activities, students will learn the key responsibilities of a doctor and explore the heart, lungs, and digestion. Students will use real medical instruments (stethoscope, reflex hammer, and blood pressure cuff) and practice scrubbing, suturing, and tying knots like a real surgeon.

Little Veterinarian School (Cat) at Ute Meadows Elementary School

The Little Veterinarian School encourages elementary school children to role play and explores the exciting world of veterinarians. Using interactive demonstrations, crafts, and games, kids learn how to take care of a pet and use instruments that real veterinarians use. At Little Veterinarian School, students will assume the role of a veterinarian and learn how to perform a nose-to-tail exam, the importance of proper nutrition, perform a tick check, and identify animal body language. In Little Veterinarian School, students will role-play the key responsibilities of a vet remove ticks safely, administer medications and more. These future professionals will learn about animal behavior, use real veterinary equipment and receive a diploma! Section III: Cat/Veterinarian Students will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and perform a whiskers-to-tail exam on their newly “adopted” plush cat. These future veterinarians will learn about animal body language, maintaining a healthy environment such as proper litterbox placement, creating a cat toy, and designing a vet clinic.

The Little Veterinarian School encourages elementary school children to role play and explores the exciting world of veterinarians. Section I: Dog/Veterinarian After “adopting” their very own plush puppy, students will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian, including how to properly perform a nose-to-tail exam. These future veterinarians will learn how to sew stitches, remove ticks, make healthy treats, and vaccinate their dogs.

Section IV: Horse / Veterinarian Now students can learn all about horses and their care from the newest Little Medical School Equine program. Students will adopt and name their plush horse and learn the anatomy and maintenance of a horse. They will also learn basic horse nutrition, riding styles, gaits and role- play and basic key responsibilities of an equine veterinarian.

Little Wilderness School brings medicine, science, and the importance of health to children in an entertaining, exciting, and fun way. Our program will teach children about some of the dangers in the wild and how to safely handle a medical situation. For example, students will learn about snake bites, hypothermia, how to tie a tourniquet, splint a broken leg, filter dirty water, 20 uses of a bandana, and how to treat bug bites. Our classes are led by a trained Little Medical School instructor. Each child receives a diploma, disposable lab coat, LMS bandana, thermal blanket and so much more.

Wilderness Medicine School with Hulstrom K-8
Hulstrom K-8 (Adams 12)
Little Wilderness School brings medicine, science, and the importance of health to children in an entertaining, exciting, and fun way. Our program will teach children about some of the dangers in the wild and how to safely handle a medical situation. For example, students will learn about snake bites, hypothermia, how to tie a tourniquet, splint a broken leg, filter dirty water, 20 uses of a bandana, and how to treat bug bites. Our classes are led by a trained Little Medical School instructor. Each child receives a diploma, disposable lab coat, LMS bandana, thermal blanket and so much more. Students will explore some of the dangers in the wild such as bug bites, snake bites, and poisonous plants. These future emergency medics will learn how to splint a broken leg, tie a tourniquet, filter dirty water, the effects of hypothermia, and 20 ways to use a bandana in emergencies.
